DREAMJOB - “Chief of Ultimate Experiences at Surfcenter”

The Chief of Ultimate Experiences at Surfcenter will be responsible for the end-to-end management, growth, and profitability of the Clinics and Events unit. This role involves planning, organizing, and executing world-class windsurfing and wingfoiling clinics at popular spots around the globe. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong operational capabilities, a passion for watersports, and a deep understanding of the windsurfing and wingfoiling communities.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development: Design and develop the clinic programs, including selecting destinations, structuring daily activities, work closely with professional windsurfers and wingfoilers, rental centers and accommodations to tailor the program content, ensuring it meets the needs and skill levels of participants.

Marketing and Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the clinics working closely together with relevant stakeholders.

Participant Management: Manage communication with participants from initial inquiry to post-clinic follow-up, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience. Handle the intake process, including participant registration, payment processing, and providing detailed information about the clinic.

Pro Rider Coordination: Serve as the main point of contact for professional riders, managing their schedules, travel arrangements, and ensuring they have the necessary resources for the clinic.
Maintain strong relationships with pro riders. 

Operational Execution: Oversee all logistical aspects of the clinics, including travel, accommodation, equipment, and on-site coordination. Ensure that all clinics run smoothly, addressing any issues that arise promptly and professionally.

Growth and Expansion: Identify opportunities for growth, including new clinic locations, expanding the number of clinics, and introducing new types of events. Drive business growth by increasing participant numbers and cross-promoting Surfcenter’s retail offerings to clinic attendees.

Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with participants, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and encouraging repeat business. Collect and analyze feedback to continuously improve the clinic experience.

 

Required skills and experience

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the windsurfing and wingfoiling industries, including trends, key players, and customer preferences.

Event Management: Proven experience in organizing and executing sports or adventure events, preferably in the watersports sector.

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with participants, pro riders, and internal stakeholders.

Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Operational Excellence: Experience in managing logistics and operations, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on customer experience.

Passion for Watersports: A genuine passion for windsurfing, wingfoiling, and the watersports lifestyle, with a desire to share this passion with others.

Nice to have: Marketing / content creation expertise: Strong content and marketing skills
Financial Acumen: Ability to develop budgets, manage P&Ls, and analyze financial data to drive profitable growth.

 

Expectations and Compensation:

This is a full time position offering a unique blend of flexibility and responsibility.

Since the home location is not highly relevant for this role, the candidate can work from almost any location. However, it is important to be open to frequent travel, as you will often need to be on-site for clinics and events, both domestically and internationally.

We offer a compensation package that aligns with your experience and skills, above current market standards, and may even include windsurfing or wing foil gear as part of the plan.

We are prepared to begin the project as soon as possible, based on a mutually agreed-upon start date.
