Starboard iQFoil 95 Carbon Reflex: a real all-rounder

Starboard developed the iQFoil 95 Carbon Reflex especially for the next Olympic Games. The iQFoil 95 came out on top in the test and was selected by World Sailing. And that's not for nothing.

THE OLYMPIC IQFOIL CLASS

The Starboard iQFoil 95 is the official board for the men's iQFoil class competitions. This means that you can only participate in these competitions with this board. Since the competitions must be able to take place in all circumstances, the board is a real all-rounder.

FAR FULLY DEVELOPED

You notice that this board has been extensively tested and further developed than most comparable wind foil boards. With a width of no less than 95 centimeters and a volume of 196 liters, it certainly isn’t a small shape, but the board is still incredibly light due to Starboard’s Carbon Reflex construction.

VOLUME AND TOUCHDOWNS

The volume is mainly hidden in the nose of the board. As a result, the board makes very easy touchdowns, and a mistake by the rider at high speed isn’t immediately punished. If you come out of the water with your foil, the board will try to absorb the blow and get you back in the air as quickly as possible.

UPWIND AND SLALOM

Unlike pure slalom foil boards, the iQFoil 95 has a rectangular shape. The board is just as wide in the nose as in the back of the board, which ensures that the position of the rear foot strap is very far out. This also allows you to stand further out with your back foot, which makes the board extremely suitable for sailing upwind. Yet you can also slalom with this racing monster, and therefore also achieve very high speeds on the foil. Foot straps can also be mounted in the middle of the board.

DEEP CUT OUTS

New in the iQFoil 95 are the extremely deep cut-outs in the board. Due to these cut-outs, the wet surface is greatly reduced with some speed, while you keep the width in the board. This in combination with the Starboard iQFoil Carbon makes it possible to fly in very little wind.
