The control and efficiency of the 5-Wave can be attributed to its high aspect ratio design. Inspired by the 4-Wave power wave sail, however the outline of the 5-Wave ensures unmatched control at high speeds and effortless releases during top turns and daring landings. By giving slightly more luffcurve than other modern wave sails, PATRIK managed to increase the tension on the sail body for maximum control and a locked sail pressure point while reducing the swinging of the mast in choppy conditions at the same time.

The development of the wave range has been marked by careful material selection and placement. This allowed PATRIK to choose the ideal thickness for each area of the sail. The combination works harmoniously, ensuring the wind directs the sail's power exactly where you desire it, thus preventing undesirable draft shifting during intense conditions. 

Innovative kevlar load spread lines form the final touch in our design masterpiece. These lines connect the clew, B1 tip, and two innovative mini-battens on the luff panel. The secret behind the 5-Wave's extraordinary wind range lies, in part, within these well-engineered lines.
