The Prolimit PF2 free-x ecological wetsuit for men is the most sustainable wetsuit ever made. This wetsuit is one of the few FSC approved wetsuits, which means it is an environmentally appropriate product but is still made with the best technology available. That's why 2.698 CO2/kg is saved per each manufactured wetsuit.
The neoprene is made out of a Yulex plant and the dying process of yarns is saving water by coloring them. The outer lining is made out of 88% recycled polyester from PET recycled bottles. Exactly 45 water bottles are needed to create a wetsuit.
The inner lining is made out of recycled polyester and replaces Zodiac lining. However the lining still has great heat retention and stretch.
The glue that connects the neoprene panels and provides the lamination of the wetsuit is water based. It is solvent free and without chemicals, therefore this avoids latex allergies. Don’t worry! Of course the glue will not dissolve in water.
