The Starboard Carve is a real freeride board. Fast, easy to use and comfortable on the water. This board gives you a confident feeling and is therefore the board for the starter (with some experience) or intermediate who has already mastered the basics. The board lives up to its name because it gives a lot of control and ease when performing carve jibes. It is stable on the water and also gives a lot of control and confidence in somewhat rougher conditions (with chop). If you want to sail comfortably for hours on end, the Carve is an excellent choice.

Foot Strap Positions
The Carve let is versatile and easy to sail on the fin. When equipped with a larger sail it becomes a very fast combination that you can push. This works best if you put the foot straps in the outer positions. Is it getting a bit too rough on the water and do you want more control? Then you put the foot straps inwards.

Different shapes
Each board is individually shaped for best performance. In the larger sizes, the focus of the design is on extra easy planing and a smooth, controlled ride where you can find the foot straps effortlessly. The medium sizes allow you to carve jibes just like a small board, but with the confidence of a larger board, thanks to the width and thicker rails. The small sizes provide a real sporty feel with a higher top speed and that extra bit of control you need to surf confidently in high winds.

The board comes with a matching Drake freeride fin.

Two versions
The Carve comes in two versions: Starlite Carbon and Wood Sandwich .
The Wood Sandwich is the lightest, stiffest version with the lowest carbon footprint. If you are looking for the best performance, we recommend that you choose this board. You will accelerate a little faster and get more feedback from the board. The Starlite Carbon is a bit more budget oriented. With this option you opt for good performance and the best price. The board has the same shape and a lot of comfort, but you get a little less feedback when you accelerate. Which one you choose therefore depends on your personal preference and budget.
