STARBOARD FOIL FREERIDE 2024

The Starboard Foil Freeride has been an integral part of windfoiling since its inception. Perhaps the ultimate freeride foil board, available in two sizes: 125 and 150 liters, and two different constructions: Wood Sandwich and Starlite Carbon.

The Starboard Foil Freeride is suitable for novice foilers with some windsurfing experience. They will quickly learn to foil with this board and certainly won't outgrow it quickly. The board also has a relatively high top speed when paired with the right foil. If you fall into this category, opt for the 150-liter version. The 85 cm width feels like the perfect compromise between stability and agility.
 
The Starboard Foil Freeride is also well suited for the foiler with a bit more experience, who wants to get the most out of their sessions in all conditions. As mentioned, the board is exceptionally fast, and you get on the foil early. If you fall into this category, choose the Wood Sandwich construction. It is lighter and will feel more responsive.
 
The 75-centimeter wide variant of the board is ideal for the slightly lighter foiler or the foiler who enjoys going out on the lake in windy conditions.

The Wood Sandwich construction is the lightest and stiffest variant of the board, hence the slightly higher price. Choose this variant if you want to get everything out of the board and are already somewhat experienced.
 
The Starlite Carbon construction is the stronger and slightly heavier variant of the board. It is perfect for more novice foilers who might experience occasional crashes.
