Our journey began with an intense focus on the concept of sail shaping, a process that reflects over a decade of development involving our iconic sails, the SUPER_HERO and the SUPER_STAR. This endeavor allowed us to amalgamate the finest attributes of both sails.

As sail size decreases, the demand for control intensifies.
Conversely, larger sails prioritize planing performance and a lightweight feel.
As a result, for sizes up to 4.5, they maintained a low and centered draft position, reminiscent of the original SUPER_HERO, providing maximum control and neutrality, especially in challenging conditions. However, starting from sizes 5.0 and upward, the draft position gradually shifts slightly higher and forward with each size. Consequently, the 5.7, for instance, attains a draft position quite akin to that of the SUPER_STAR. This elevated draft position elevates the board, enhancing planing performance, and creates a sail that feels even lighter in your hands. This is particularly crucial to offset the increased physical weight that accompanies larger sails.

With the sail shaping concept firmly in place, the next step was to identify an appropriate technology for this ultimate wave sail. Enter the brand new MONOCOQUE FUSION BODY, a groundbreaking innovation that allowed to eliminate all stitched body panels. Compared to the stitched SUPER_STAR SLS, this transition offers several significant advantages:

An additional weight reduction of 150-200g.
The entire sail functions as a unified entity, eliminating any "play" between panels. This results in a more efficient sail, expanding its wind range, and a sail that feels more responsive and reactive in your hands.
Enhanced strength: Machine tear tests have demonstrated that the fusion bonding surpasses even the durability of the thickest monofilms, as well as Dyneema or Kevlar reinforced laminates.
