JP's Slalom boards - the 62.5, 72, and 85 - are finely tuned for PWA competition, emphasizing control and top speed. The newest addition, the 62.5, has undergone a complete redesign based on feedback from team riders, aiming for higher top speeds while maintaining improved control during gybes.

The key changes to the 62.5 include double step cut-outs for enhanced control, a lifted apex point of the rail to prevent nose catching and boost lift during turns, and a widened tail outline to maintain speed through gybes and improve early planing and acceleration.

The overall design philosophy focuses on increasing average speed across the race course, with a particular emphasis on optimizing gybing performance to gain an edge during races. The larger sizes (72 and 85) offer a more locked and stable riding position, requiring less effort to reach and maintain top speed.

Six core design elements contribute to the optimal PWA racing setup, including dual tail outlines, transforming Vee flow along the bottom for a smooth ride, a compact concept for instant planing, a thin profile in the nose area to reduce drag, and ergonomic deck shapes for a relaxed stance.

Additionally, the boards feature a Tuttlebox (55 and 62.5) or JP's specially reinforced Foil-Tuttlebox (72 and 85) for foiling compatibility. The tech features include a full Biax/Carbon deck, recess at the mast track for improved efficiency, double footstrap plugs, a footstrap scale, and approval for foiling on selected models (72 and 85).

In essence, these Slalom boards are designed for maximum fun at high speeds, ensuring control, efficiency, and a competitive edge for racers aiming for the podium.
