The luff of the sail has avery unique design with 4 materials that overlay each other to provide a very durable construction that holds a smooth profile. Therefore, a great amount of downhaul can easily be put on the sail to increase performance, reducing the stretch in this area. 

In the designing process of foiling sails, there is generally less emphasis on control. As a result, Neilpryde has chosen to have 6 battens in this sail, instead of 7 as in their fin racing sails. This reduces the overall weight of the sail and also makes pumping and gybing on the foil much easier to do.

Speaking about weight, all battens above the boom are fully made out of carbon. Besides the weight advantage that these battens provide, the also secure a much stiffer outline of the sail. Even the ribs sewn onto the upper sleeve’s leading edge use a carbon fiber construction, stabilizing the upper parts of the sail where the cambers do not have an influence anymore.
