PATRIK GT3-FRC

The GT3-FRC thrives both on fin and foil, as it is a little sister of the PATRIK competition slalom sail Race SF. Based on the concept and panels of this contest winning hybrid race sail the GT3-FRC performs equally well on fin and foil. Many updates and modifications make this sail light and easy in your hands.

The PATRIK GT3-FRC features a more narrow mast sleeve while mainly keeping the original panels of the Race SF. The integration of a softer mast sleeve material provides the sail with an enhanced responsiveness and more forgiveness for the riders. The GT3-FRC is tailored to excel on RDM masts. The sail feels light, fast and has an easier handling in the jibes. If you rig the GT3-FRC with the SDM mast it will provide you with a boost in low-wind conditions however it loses some of the playful lightness.

The GT-3 FRC is a great addition to the PATRIK racing section and the selected materials are the best you can get. To protect inside of the sleeve there is a thick 7 MIL monofilm luff panel which provides the best stiffness and a locked profile. Towards the clew, a full vertical set of 5 MIL x-ply panels (before the main body panels) are enhancing the overall stability, control and resistance to this high stressed area.

The main panels are a solid and thick 5 MIL clear monofilm (which provides best combination between weight and a good shape stability) and a 4 MIL orange tinted monofilm for the top part, where the lightness is maximiyed and UV-resistance, since it's not needed to see through.

To correctly rigg the GT3-FRC to see the true competition slalom sail qualities use the color prints on the batten sleeves as an indicator for the right amount of loose leech. Only with the open leech the sail will show its full potential.
