The new Ho'okipa Quads have evolved from the Custom Quad designs with the aim of discovering the perfect blend of speed, drive, and maneuverability. These boards maintain speed across a wide spectrum of wave conditions, from massive down-the-line waves to mushy onshore rollers. They are the go-to choice for Robby and Ricardo in pure wavesailing conditions.
The bottom shape features a single concave in the nose entry area that transitions into a double concave in the midsection, channeling the drive towards a flat release in the tail. This configuration creates a straighter scoop rocker line in the midsection while preserving the curvature in the rail. The flat centerline delivers speed and planing power. The rails start with a gentle edge in the nose, extending through the midsection, and culminating in a surfboard-style sharp release in the tail section. This rail design provides the board with reliable drive through the bottom turn, even in choppy conditions, and ensures a clean release during the top turn.
